Getting Things Done (GTD) is a productivity methodology created by David Allen. It's a five-step system — capture, clarify, organize, reflect, engage — that helps you get everything out of your head and into a trusted system so you can focus on doing, not remembering. Learn more at gettingthingsdone.com.
Yes. The free tier includes the core GTD workflow with guided inbox processing, all core lists, and offline mode — limited to 5 projects, 5 contexts, and a single device.
Your data stays safe. You keep access to the free tier features. If you exceed the free limits (projects, contexts), your existing data is preserved but you won't be able to create new ones until you're back within limits.
Import support is on our roadmap. We plan to support common formats and popular GTD/task apps. Join the waitlist to be notified when this is available.
Your data is stored locally on your device and synced via encrypted connections (TLS) to our cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard services for authentication and offline-first synchronization.
NextThing will be available on iOS, macOS, Android, Windows, and Linux. Built from one codebase for native performance, so features stay consistent everywhere.
